-
Labor Law
Unfortunately employers don't always pay you what you're owed, they misclassify you as an independent contractor, or they terminate your employment in violation of the law. I have successfully obtained large settlements for employees whose employers did not follow the California Labor Code.

Contract Disputes and Collections
When the other party fails to pay you, performs subpar work, or otherwise fails to adhere to the terms of the contract, you sometimes need to take legal action. I have helped contractors and subcontractors enforce mechanic's liens and get paid, as well as represented homeowners in disputes with contractors.
I have also brought successful lawsuits to help businesses collect on their accounts receivable.
JUDGMENT COLLECTION
Winning a judgment is often just half the battle. If the defendant wasn't willing to write a settlement check, they may not voluntarily satisfy the judgment.
I can often help you collect from the judgment debtor's income and assets, or help you determine if the judgment debtor is "judgment proof."
Joseph Gruchawka
Attorney At Law
I grew up in Kenwood, in the heart of Sonoma County. After attending UC Berkeley for my undergraduate studies, and the University of Colorado for law school, I returned to Sonoma County, where I worked at the law firm of Smith Dollar PC, specializing in wage and hour claims and contract disputes.
I then founded my own practice, and am dedicated to obtaining justice for my clients.
When I'm not zealously representing my clients, I enjoy running in Annadel State Park, having lunch in Old Courthouse Square, and taking in all Sonoma County has to offer.
